Personal Experience

Casey Leier champions the rights of employees, fighting to ensure workers are treated with dignity, respect, and in compliance with the law. As Of Counsel at Leventhal Swan Taylor Temming PC, Casey focuses his practice on employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on representing Colorado state employees and other public sector workers in complex employment disputes.

A Colorado native, Casey earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law after obtaining both a Master of Arts in International Security and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Denver. He began his legal career in 2012 with the Colorado Civil Rights Division, where he investigated workplace complaints and made legal determinations regarding hundreds of employment-related matters.

Before joining Leventhal Swan Taylor Temming PC in 2022, Casey practiced employment law with Finger, Newcomb & Thigpen in Evergreen, Colorado, where he worked alongside well-known litigator William Finger until his retirement. Casey has extensive experience representing employees in discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, disciplinary proceedings, and other workplace disputes, with a specialized focus on public sector and State Personnel matters. His clients include nurses, teachers, law enforcement officers, union members, and other public servants throughout Colorado.

What sets Casey apart is his experience handling matters in the specialized forums where public employees’ rights are often decided, including administrative hearings and State Personnel Board proceedings. He approaches every case with careful factual analysis, strong communication, and a practical understanding that many clients are navigating one of the most difficult periods of their professional lives. Casey is committed to providing personalized legal representation and ensuring his clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.

Casey has been recognized by Colorado Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and has also received Avvo’s “Client’s Choice” award for his dedication to client service. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, reading, traveling, and hiking with his dogs.
